My Ken, the Style Icon

YES YES YES
Next month's issue of Esquire UK will feature an editorial that doesn't use Zoolanders or athletes attempting Blue Steel, it will have the ultimate men's fashion icon KEN as the focal point.
Can we get an AMEN
Ken is wearing customs designs by Burberry Prorsum, Gucci, Paul Smith, and Prada.

Of course, Ken's popularity has been soaring thanks to his astounding performance in already-a-classic, Toy Story 3.  Ken's style has always been revered by those in the know, and now a wider audience and new generations can bear witness to the pillar of debonair masculinity and grooming artistry.

If you haven't seen Toy Story 3 yet I suggest you do, like right now.  But be warned, prepare an dam of tissues for an ocean of tears.

Of course it is common knowledge that I in fact OWN the famous Ken doll represented in this film.  He has been my companion for quite some time, even when my parents tried to get me the "Real Hair" Dr. Ken.  Can you believe all he came with was a shapeless lab coat, 1 black short-sleeve mock turtleneck, 1 pair of khaki's, and a pair of Frankenstein Doc Martens?  He looked like Tom Cruise!  It was an impostor - I could never give him the same attention as the real deal - now HE knew/knows how to dress:

(His bow-tie matching cummerbund is currently being used by Barbie as a miniskirt)
Look at that snazzy fella!  Look at those abs!  Barbie's matching Date Time outfit never stood a chance.

Be sure to pick up your copy of Esquire UK on July 21st.

Stuff

I'm running out of titles...

You see?  This is what I've come to expect!  PERFECTION.  Is that too much?  I don't think so - not with her track record...

DO YOU SEE THIS?  I love Michelle Monaghan, I mean LOVE - but I don't give two flying Kiss Kiss's or Bang Bangs about her in this picture - BECAUSE DIANE LOOKS SO GOOD AND AWESOME

Come Diane - Kirsten Dunst?  Really?

Recreate the Look: Sylvie Vartan and Brigitte Bardot

(click for full)
My new favorite picture!  Just a Bulgarin/French popstar and a French actress/fashion icon hanging out and having fun.  The both look so comfortable, not only where they are but in themselves, and why shouldn't they?  Here's a chance for you (us) to get just a LITTLE bit closer to that kind of poise and awesome:

Sylvie:

Brigitte:
B's little sweater and pants have proven to be harder to find - so here are some options...

Now get all the liquid liner, peroxide, and attitude you can muster and go to town!

Look of the Day

Giles - Spring 2010

omg you must click
the collection was awesome - except for that monstrosity he put poor Daphne Guiness in for the opener, who thought that was a good idea?
Oh and the sunglasses somehow make you look like you have a hangover-and not just because they're sunglasses.

Look of the Week: Spotlight

Lauren Santo Domingo - AKA Lauren Davis
Contributing editor to Vogue - all around awesome human being

Thank you Style.com for being the enablers in the addiction.

In the new issue of Vogue (Michelle Williams cover) there are some awesome shots of LSD/LD that I could not get online YET.  Soon.
This is how you do "understated elegance" not whatever the hell it is Jennifer Aniston is doing (I believe the proper word here is "boring")
Also anyone who wears this many midcalf length dresses and skirts must be cool.
